First Solana Project Selling NFTs for Undergarments

What comes first in the minds of people when NFTs are mentioned? Perhaps repulsive pieces of art that are quietly overpriced. However, Izzy Howell, a former core contributor at Solana derivatives protocol Cypher proves that NFT is far beyond unique bored ape NFTs.

It all started with a simple late-night talk with her fellow Defi friends when Izzy Howel, Founder, and CEO of PussyDAO, came up with the idea that users would use Solana NFTs to redeem for physical items specifically panties and streetwear.

“I was up really late with my team, and all of the guys on my team just kept saying liquidity is all that matters. ‘That’s the most important thing: liquidity, liquidity, liquidity,’” she recalled. “And the next thought in my head was that I wanted to make a pair of panties that said ‘highly liquid’ on the crotch.”

Upon sharing the idea with others, Izzy states that she got quite the support from the crypto industry including funding. The new opportunity left her no choice but to retire her duties back in Cypher and focus on her new venture. Howell plans to start off by allowing Solana NFTs owners to redeem physical clothes easily.

“We’re using Web3 tech to scale the next generation of apparel, CPG [consumer packaged goods] products, software drops, and experiences,”  “Our brand is punk rock meets hyper femininity: we’re gritty, girly, and powerful—and a much-needed breath of fresh air in this bro-centric space.”Howell states

PussyDao joins the list of firms that mastered the disruptive and transformative potential uses for NFTs. Unisocks, a decentralized exchange, sells tokens redeemable for Uniswap-themed socks.  Adidas, backed by BAYC, NFT influencer gmoney, and the Punks Comics projects introduced a redeemable NFTs model for exclusive apparel.

PussyDao plans to utilize the fact that NFTs act as digital representations of real-world items, where compared to shipping packages, it would be less stressful, less expensive, and have a low environmental impact.

Despite the ongoing winter season, NFTs have not been left in the lurch, the bear market has seen the NFT market slump accompanying it. However, we are still seeing NFTs becoming a norm in the public eye.
