VeChain Onboards Amazon Web Services (AWS) as Technology Partner
- VeCarbon and AWS agreed to establish a technical partnership and build the VeCarbon carbon management SaaS system
- The partnership will enable (Inter) National Scale Carbon Management Services
VeChain has confirmed a partnership deal through VeCarbon with Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon. The partnership is geared toward blockchain-based carbon management services. As the official announcement notes, in the second half of 2021, VeCarbon piloted multiple successful use cases for its technology across different industries and in a variety of applications. Through this partnership, Amazon will provide technology to scale up operations to a national and continent level.

In addition, the deal will enable the blockchain developer to reach carbon emission targets set by China. As it is, the blockchain industry has been hugely criticized for its energy consumption and carbon emissions. The official announcement noted;
With their assistance, technical guidance and established, robust cloud service platform, VeCarbon will be able to deliver the scale, analytical capability and security needed to deliver a national-scale, multi-industry carbon management platform.
Following the announcement, VeChain native token VET is yet to record any major improvement, however, its trading volume has seen a 30% jump in the last 24 hours. Like the rest of the market, the coin is struggling having shed nearly 90% of its value after reaching its all time high of 0.2782 achieved about a year ago.
