Recharge Capital Appoints Margaret Wang as Managing Partner, Leading Women’s Health Strategy and APAC Operations

Recharge Capital, a distinguished thematic-first private investment firm with assets totaling $6 billion, has announced a significant addition to its leadership team. Margaret Wang, formerly the Executive Director and Head of Bridgewater Associates Singapore, has been appointed as the firm’s new Managing Partner. Wang will assume a pivotal role in advancing the Women’s Health Strategy and overseeing Recharge Capital’s operations in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region from its Singapore office.

With a specific emphasis on women’s healthcare and fertility, the firm operates from both New York and Singapore, with the goal of driving positive change in the global investment landscape.
Margaret Wang brings a wealth of experience garnered from her senior leadership positions at prominent global financial institutions. Prior to her role at Bridgewater Associates Singapore, Wang held key positions, including Director of Strategic Initiatives at Paxos, a blockchain infrastructure provider, and Head of Product Partnerships at Squarespace (NYSE: SQSP). Her partnerships at Squarespace included collaborations with industry giants such as Apple, Google, and Facebook. Wang’s early career saw her in strategic roles at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Leadership Role in Rhea Holdings Co.
One of Wang’s immediate responsibilities will be her leadership role in Rhea Holdings Co., a $200 million women’s healthcare-focused investment vehicle launched by Recharge Capital in June 2023. This unique private equity structure aims to drive transformative growth in the women’s healthcare sector through the utilization of cross-asset class strategies.
Wang expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, emphasizing the firm’s thematic strategy’s potential to foster innovation and societal impact across the value chain. During her tenure at Bridgewater Associates, Wang played a pivotal role in establishing and leading the firm’s Singapore office, reinforcing its presence in the APAC region.
