Craig Wright appeared in court in Norway claiming that he “stomped on the hard drive” that contained the evidence required to prove that indeed he is Bitcoins anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Craig has made this claim since 2016 and has shamefully failed consistently to prove this allegation.

He attempted to prove that he controls the keys to Satoshi’s account. It’s funny how he is no longer claiming he is Satoshis, he stated that he destroyed his only piece of evidence in 2016 when he attempted suicide.

According to Wrights’s statement in court, stomping on the hard drive was an intentional act. Destroying the hard drive, Wright told the court, was “the only way” to avoid being forced to prove his identity cryptographically.

He claimed that it would be the only way to avoid being “forced” to prove his identity cryptographically. He said that he refused to do this because it would let his critics take the “easy way out”.Craig says that the whole point he is trying to make is that Bitcoin is not encrypted.

The trial began on the morning of September 12. He stated that the Twitter influencer Hodlonaut destroyed his reputation of being “Nakamoto”. Hodlounat declared Craig a fraud and a sham on his Twitter account.

Hodlonaut’s lawyer, Ørjan Haukaas, asked him whether he destroyed the hard drive on purpose. “Yes, you could say this is a risk, but I think it’s the most important thing I’ve done in my life.”

Hodlonaut set up a website named defendingbtc.com to bring Bitcoiners together and raise funds for financial support and incur the legal costs that occurred. Despite raising  US$1.5 million, the crypto community remains hopeful that Hodlonaut will be able to stop Wright from continuing to claim Satoshi status.

There was a consensus, and there still is a consensus, that Craig Wright is a fraud.

 Holdnaut says

Wright’s lawyers ordered that Hodlounat should clear Craig’s image by deleting the tweets. Hodlounat followed their order to the latter and deleted the tweets but refused to accept that it was an act of principle. Wright then asked Hodlounat to admit that he is Nakamoto.

Hodlounat was unbothered by Craig’s allegations and didn’t make an attempt to defend himself. Wright’s supposed inability to present adequate evidence of his position as Satoshi has been an ongoing fiasco probe in the crypto space. Individuals say that he is being dramatic and that he should accept that he is a scam.

Most recently, a UK High Court judge awarded Wright one British pound for ‘nominal damages’ he incurred from comments made by Bitcoin podcaster Peter McCormack.
