Breaking: Tron Becomes the Official Blockchain Partner of Dominica

• Tron has been selected to work hand in hand with Dominica as Dominica’s official partner in issuing and developing Dominica Coin(DMC).
• According to an official document revealed by Justin Sun, the founder of Tron shows that Dominica may use Tron for Public services including tax payments.

Dominica has joined the list of countries that have recognized crypto as the future of money. In an official statement made today, Tron has been selected to work hand in hand with Dominica as Dominica’s official partner in issuing and developing Dominica Coin(DMC).

Interestingly, Tron’s partnership with Dominica’s republic has been noted as a top-level collaboration between a Blockchain firm and a sovereign state.

The partnership comes a year after the  Eastern Caribbean nation enacted the Virtual Asset Business Act in Parliament.

According to the Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, the big milestone is meant to build up economic growth by encompassing the rapidly growing rate of digital innovation around the globe.

“This is a historic step for Dominica in its drive to enhance economic growth by embracing digital innovation and appointing TRON Protocol as its designated national blockchain infrastructure

According to the prime minister, the big development will play a huge role in building a visionary Dominica. He stated;

The open and cost-effective nature of the TRON blockchain infrastructure will play a vital role to better integrate Small Island Developing States like Dominica into the global economy in the future

Tron’s Native Token Becomes Legal Tenders in Dominica

Justin Sun, the founder of Tron took to Twitter to celebrate the glad tidings stating the republic of Dominica granted statutory status to all Tron ecosystem tokens, including TRX, JST, USDD, and TUSD, among others.

“It is official! All TRON cryptos, including TRX, BTT, JST, NFT, USDD, USDT, and TUSD are granted statutory status as an authorized digital currency and medium of exchange in the commonwealth of Dominica, effective on October 7th, 2022,The tweet read.

According to official documents revealed by the Tron boss shows that Dominica may use Tron for Public services, including tax payments. It also means that the government may accept Tron as payment for goods and services

According to a popular news outlet in the Caribbean WIC NEWS, Tron partnered with the republic of Dominica just after the country passed its Virtual Asset Business Act in early 2022. This is a sign that the partnership had been in the making for quite a period of time.
