Following the resounding approval of the “Restoring the GM NFT System” proposal by community member Datab4Dishonor, the VeBetter developer team is moving swiftly—yet carefully—to implement the endorsed changes. This proposal, backed by strong DAO engagement, marks a critical milestone in aligning the GM NFT system with community priorities.

To ensure secure and seamless implementation, VeBetter is introducing a short, one-month delay to the GM NFT tier rollout schedule. This precautionary pause allows developers to meet the highest standards of code security—ensuring long-term reliability without compromising on momentum.

What’s Changing in the GM NFT System?
The newly approved changes include three major upgrades:
- Treasury Allocation Adjustment: Weekly distribution from the Treasury will decrease from 20% to 15%.
- Voter-Based Rewards: The reclaimed 5% will be redistributed to GM NFT holders—only those who participate in voting—via a new tiered weighting model.
- Lower Upgrade Costs: The cost to upgrade GM NFTs will be slashed by 50%, encouraging broader participation and faster progress through the tiers.
Users who’ve already upgraded their NFTs won’t miss out. The difference in B3TR spent under the previous structure will be credited toward their next upgrade tier.
Notably, Earth-tier GM NFTs will not receive bonuses under the new model, preserving exclusivity for more advanced tiers.
Revised Tier Launch Schedule
While Mars has already been deployed, the updated timeline begins with Jupiter in May:
- Jupiter (May): 125,000 B3TR | Free for Mjolnir & ThunderX nodes
- Saturn (June): 250,000 B3TR | Free for MjolnirX nodes only
- Uranus (August): 1,250,000 B3TR | No free node upgrades
- Neptune (October): 2,500,000 B3TR | No free node upgrades
- Galaxy (December): 12,500,000 B3TR | No free node upgrades
