Is Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk Teaming Up to Work on a Dogecoin Upgrade- Mass Adoption for DOGE?

  • Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Twitter boss, Elon Musk will team up to upgrade Dogecoin (DOGE).
  • The canine-themed meme coin is not playing games in developing its ecosystem, it is no longer lost.

David Gokhshtien, the founder of Gokhshtien Media told his 700,000 Twitter followers on November 25 that he predicts Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Twitter CEO Elon Musk will soon begin working together to improve Dogecoin.

Gokhshtien explained their reasons for wanting to work on DOGE as Musk is “interested in turning something that started off as a joke into something serious” and that Buterin tried to work on bitcoin (BTC) in the past, but his efforts were futile.

Elon Musk and Vitalik’s contributions

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin donated $20 million worth of Dogecoin (DOGE) to the Dogecoin Community. This was not the first time that the Canadian programmer made a donation but the foundation also received 500 Ethereum (ETH) from him. The 28-year-old crypto billionaire’s donation comes at a critical time for the crypto community when it was still reeling from the ramifications of the Terra Luna crash.

Similarly, Elon Musk has also been a massive impact on the coin, He recently announced to his 119.2 million followers on Twitter, that he intends on integrating payments into what he describes as Twitter 2.0 “The Everything App” fuelling a short-lived 19.4% price surge for Dogecoin (DOGE).

Elon Musk failed to mention DOGE in the tweet or in the attached slides, but this didn’t appear to stop some members of the Doge community from believing that DOGE is involved in some way.

If there was a bridge between Dogecoin and Ethereum it would be awesome.

Vitalik Buterin states.

On several occasions, Elon Musk gave Dogecoin (DOGE) free promotions on Twitter, leading to its price surging and its popularity increasing.

Vitalik Buterin not only has vested rights to make comments in his role as Ethereum founder on top of this, he also has power as a significant member of the Dogecoin Foundation that he joined in August 2021 together with Neuralink CEO Jared Birchall.

Dogecoin Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 by the Dogecoin team and was re-established last year after six years of inactivity. The foundation is an attempt to provide “support for the cryptocurrency Dogecoin through development and advocacy.”

After Ethereum implemented the much-anticipated Merge upgrade on September 15th, Buterin suggested that Dogecoin should become the next cryptocurrency to move to the proof-of-the-stake consensus algorithm.

The transition to Proof-of-Stake is also drawn on the Trailmap for Dogecoin. The Trailmap represents a dog walk the Dogecoin Foundation is committed explore and believes will contribute to Dogecoin’s success.

Trailmap provides a path forward to both secure Dogecoin through network diversification paving the way for new, faster Nodes, and consolidating what Dogecoin is through a written, provable Dogecoin Standard with comprehensive testing.

Additionally, the trail presents new avenues for payment providers, retailers, game developers, and social platforms just to name a few, to rapidly integrate Dogecoin into their infrastructure with scalable backend solutions such as the GigaWallet project.

In February, Vitalik confirmed his participation in Dogecoin’s Proof-of-Stake from Proof of work. The Ethereum co-founder referenced a proposal published on Christmas last year, which highlighted a strategy to execute the DOGE proposal for a ‘Community Staking’ version of PoS, which would let more individuals participate in managing the Dogecoin network.
