  • HYPE surged nearly 20% after Binance U.S announced its upcoming listing, bringing it close to its all-time high of $42.
  • A pullback to the $28–$30 range could present new buying opportunities before a potential breakout past the $40 mark

Hyperliquid (HYPE) is making waves once again, and this time, it’s riding the Binance U.S rocket. The token extended its mid-week rally to a stunning 20% gain, jumping from $31 to nearly $38, following the 2 June announcement that Binance U.S would list it for spot trading. This surge has fueled market excitement and speculation: Could HYPE be gearing up for a breakout above the $40 psychological barrier?

From its April lows, HYPE has now rallied an eye-popping 300%, drawing attention from both seasoned traders and opportunistic newcomers. With its all-time high of $42.20 (set last December on KuCoin) within striking distance, eyes are locked on the charts to see whether it can smash resistance and enter a new price discovery phase.

But traders beware — the technical indicators suggest a cautious approach. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is approaching overheated territory, hinting at a potential cooldown. Similarly, On Balance Volume (OBV) is hovering near a critical resistance level last seen in February. If momentum stalls, HYPE could face a pullback — but that might not be a bad thing.

Analysts are eyeing the $30 support zone as a key level. Not only did HYPE bounce off this range earlier in the week, but data from CoinGlass’s liquidation heatmap shows a liquidity magnet in the $28–$30 zone — a hotspot for leveraged positions. This could mean that, if the token retreats, new buyers may find a golden entry point.

In the case of a deeper retracement, the 50-day EMA around $27 and the 50% Fibonacci level also offer potential bounce zones. And if bulls regain control, revisiting the $40 mark could deliver gains of 28% or more from these lower levels.

Binance U.S’s listing has injected new life into HYPE, but short-term volatility could offer strategic re-entry points. Whether it smashes through $42 or dips before its next move, HYPE is officially back on the radar.
