- Cardano surged 4% after Charles Hoskinson predicted Bitcoin could reach $250,000, boosting bullish sentiment across the crypto market.
- A breakout above $0.70 could pave the way for ADA to target $2 in the next rally.
Cardano (ADA) is once again in the crypto spotlight after a 4% rally Thursday brought its price to the brink of the $0.70 resistance level. The surge came on the heels of a bold prediction from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, who told CNBC that Bitcoin could hit $250,000 by the end of this year or early 2026 — sparking renewed optimism across the altcoin market.

According to Hoskinson, macroeconomic catalysts and regulatory tailwinds could soon drive significant inflows into crypto. “The markets will stabilize, the Fed will cut rates, and a wall of capital will pour into crypto,” he stated, pointing to recent moves on U.S. crypto legislation and expected monetary easing as major drivers.

For Cardano, the implications are substantial. Historically, ADA has moved in tandem with Bitcoin during bull cycles. If BTC does reach the $250,000 target, ADA could potentially break past its own psychological milestone of $2, echoing gains from previous rallies.
In the near term, however, ADA remains trapped below a key resistance at $0.70. The daily chart shows the token trading just above its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) at $0.6824, with bullish momentum starting to build. Technical indicators, such as the Bull Bear Power (BBP), have flipped positive for the first time since early March — a sign that a breakout could be brewing.
Should ADA close decisively above $0.70, the next targets lie at $0.75 and $0.80, followed by the longer-term resistance at $1.00. However, failure to break out could see ADA retesting the $0.63–$0.65 support range.
As institutional capital eyes crypto and retail investors reenter the market, Cardano may stand to benefit from the broader risk-on sentiment. While a move to $2 remains speculative for now, bullish momentum is building — and a breakout above $0.70 could be the spark that lights the next leg of ADA’s recovery.
