The statement, made by XRP advocate Duefe on X (formerly Twitter), suggests that a mere $2,170 investment today—based on XRP’s current price of $2.17—could blossom into life-changing wealth in just four years. The catch? XRP’s value would need to skyrocket to unprecedented levels.

To reach a $1 million portfolio with 1,000 XRP, the price per token would need to hit $1,000—a staggering 45,900% increase. Even a more “modest” price of $100 would still translate to a six-figure return. For many crypto dreamers, these numbers are enough to spark hope. But for skeptics, they raise serious questions.
“Not holding 1,000 XRP is insanity,” declared Edo Farina, another vocal community member, echoing Duefe’s bullish stance. Farina believes owning 1,000 XRP is one of the smartest moves an investor can make, especially given the relatively low number of wallets—just 230,504—that currently hold between 500 and 1,000 tokens.
Despite the optimism, there’s a healthy dose of caution in the air. While platforms like Telegaon project XRP could reach $25 by 2029—a 1,052% increase from today’s price—they fall short of supporting the dream of $1,000 XRP anytime soon. In fact, Telegaon sees that milestone as unlikely even by 2050.
CryptoCharged analyst Matthew Brienen, however, believes the $1,000 mark could be possible within a decade, while critics like Davinci Jeremie warn against treating XRP as a guaranteed ticket to riches.
