  • Yuga lab is the creator of the spin-off collection Mutants Ape Yacht Club collection worth $427 million.

Yuga Labs, the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection, has formed a community council to help guide the project’s future. The council will be made up of seven members, all of whom are long-standing BAYC community members.

The council’s responsibilities will include gathering and curating community feedback, spearheading philanthropic efforts, and helping to shape the BAYC brand. Yuga Labs says that the council will grow and evolve over time as the project grows.

The council members are:

  • Josh Ong, a Web3 entrepreneur and co-founder of Bored Ape Yacht Club Metaverse
  • Sera, a digital artist and community manager for the Bored Ape Yacht Club
  • Laura Rod, a marketing consultant and community builder for the Bored Ape Yacht Club
  • 0xEthan, a Web3 entrepreneur and investor
  • 0xWave, a security researcher and community member for the Bored Ape Yacht Club
  • Negi, a Web3 entrepreneur and community member for the Bored Ape Yacht Club
  • Peter Fang, a Web3 entrepreneur and investor

The formation of the community council is a sign that Yuga Labs is committed to giving the BAYC community a voice in the project’s future. The council will provide a forum for community members to share their ideas and feedback, and it will help to ensure that the BAYC project remains relevant and engaging.

The council’s formation has been met with mixed reactions from the BAYC community. Some community members have expressed excitement about the opportunity to have a say in the project’s future, while others have raised concerns about the lack of transparency in the selection process.

Only time will tell how effective the community council will be in guiding the future of BAYC. However, the council’s formation is a positive step for the project and it shows that Yuga Labs is committed to listening to the community.
